The Cape Coast court premises was on Tuesday nearly turned into a boxing arena when a High Court ruled that the three months prison sentence handed to the Paramount Chief of Edina Traditional Area, Nana Kodwo Conduah VI on April 16, 2012 be reduced to eight days.Supporters of both the respondent and applicants clashed outside the court premises immediately after the ruling of the court was read as those against the decision of the court were not happy about the decision of the court to free the Omanhene. It took the intervention of some passersby and security personnel to calm down the tempers of the raging factions who were later made to dispatch to their various households.
