Some two persons have been shot dead by armed men who allegedly robbed a branch of the First Allied Bank at Pelungu in the Nabdam district of the Upper East Region.
The identities of the two men are yet to be established but they were shot by four armed robbers who attacked the bank on motorbikes Friday afternoon.
Eyewitnesses told Joy News’ Albert Sore the deceased persons were close to the action and may have picked up leads that may lead to the arrest of the robbers, a reason why they were shot.
In a pool of blood, they lay dead with eyewitnesses left in shock.
Narrating how it all happened, Sore said the armed men, numbering four, went into the premises of the bank on two motorbikes and succeeded in robbing the bank of an unspecified amount of money.
On their way out of the bank, they started shooting, hitting the two men in the process.
Police have been to the place but are yet to make a comment.
