The Management of Multimedia Broadcasting Company, MBC, has congratulated Ms Matilda Asante, Joy FM’s News Editor for winning the Ghana Journalists Association’s Radio Journalist of the Year, 2006 award.A letter signed by Mr. K. Asare-Bediako, Chief Human Resource Officer and Bernice Natue, Human Resource and Corporate Affairs Manager, both of MBC which announced the package for Matilda, said “You have brought honour to the company and thereby contributed to the effort to strengthen our corporate image.The package includes an all expenses paid weekend’s stay at the Holy Trinity Spa, Sogakope, and $350 spending money.“We hope that this will spur you on to strive for bigger laurels, as well as lead your team to attain higher heights,” the letter said.Mr. Asare-Bediako who broke the news to the management team of Joy FM on Wednesday, explained that MBC was running a recognition and celebration policy to reward staff and also motivate them to achieve excellence.Monthly, the most hardworking and best achiever would be nominated and rewarded, while at every quarter, the entire team would celebrate all the achievers.
MBC comprises Joy 99.7FM, Adom 106.3FM, Luv 99.5FM, HITZ 103.7FM, Nhyira 104.5FM, myjoyonline.com and a host of other media organisations.
