The people of Mpaem Electoral Area in the Fanteakwa District have called on the Assembly to provide basic amenities and infrastructure to facilitate the development of the area.
Mr. Eric Osanyengor, assemblyman for the area made this known on behalf of the people at a meeting in the electoral area at Mpaem last Monday.
He said the area lacked good roads, school buildings, teachers' quarters and a police station citing that the nearest police post was at Abuorso, 10 kilometres away from the area.
Mr. Ebenezer Ofoe Caesar, the Fanteakwa District Chief Executive said the district was a beneficiary of the Millennium Challenge Accounts, which would soon be utilized to provide more development projects.
He urged parents to send their children to school to enable them to benefit from the Capitation Grant and the Free Feeding Programme other government educational policies.
