The second annual Ghana Golf Association's Juniors Open Championship tees off at the Tema Country Golf Course on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7.
Mr John Wattenburg, Secretary of the Association who announced this at Tema on Wednesday, said the two-day Scratch event is open to junior golfers between the ages of 12 and 18 years.
The championship is to be sponsored by Desimone Ghana Limited.
The Secretary said the competition which had been categorized into two groups, would be played under the rules of the Association.
Mr Wattenburg competition has Category A for Silver and Category B for Bronze in which three prizes would be given in each category.
He added that 12 golfers would be selected for further training to represent Ghana in the World Juniors Championship slated for the United Kingdom and the World Youth Championship in the USA as well as the All African Juniors Open next year.
