An Accra High Court has sentenced each of three persons to fifteen years imprisonment for robbing a filling station.
The incident which occurred in 2009 was adjudicated yesterday.
Two others who were also arrested were acquitted and discharged for lack of evidence.
Public Relations Officer at the Accra Command Sergeant Kwabena Danso told Joy News the robbers "conspired to rob a filling station in Tuntra hills junction. They succeeded in carrying out that particular operation.
"The police had a tip-off and pursued them in which two persons were arrested on that particular day.
"After further investigation three were arrested bringing the number to five," he said.
He said three of them have been convicted to a prison sentence of fifteen years.
Sergeant Danso mentioned the convicted persons as Isaac Kwabena Poku, Emmanuel Dawutey and John Salifu.
