The 2012 CNN multi choice Africa Journalist of the year awards ceremony will take place today Saturday 21st July in Lusaka, Zambia.
Joy News’s Anny Osabutey is the only Ghanaian among 34 journalists in Africa nominated for this year’s awards.
Anny’s Hotline documentary, ‘Squatters Paradise’ has been nominated to win the continent’s most prestigious journalism award.
‘Squatters Paradise’ was first broadcast in 2011.
Anny Osabutey is in Zambia and is eagerly awaiting the awards night.
He told Joy News he is humbled by the nomination and is looking forward to be awarded.
Asked if he was tensed up ahead of the event, Osabutey said yes, but that was days ago.
For now he is in high spirit and trusting God for the miracle.
