Emmanuel Boateng has been given his first call-up to the Ghana national team for the upcoming friendlies against Japan and Iceland.
The striker has impressed since cementing his place in the Levante starting eleven, scoring seven times including a hat-trick against Barcelona.
And his exploits have earned him a place in the squad put together by head coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of Black Stars' clash with the Samurai Blue on 30th May and Iceland seven days later.
Another debutant in the squad is Bayern Munich attacker Kwasi Okyere Wriedt. The youngster born in Germany has scored 22 goals for Bayern's reserve team in the fourth-tier league.
However, Appiah did not invite skipper Asamoah Gyan as well as Andre and Jordan Ayew.
Jordan, 26, finished the season as Swansea’s top scorer with 11 goals in all competitions.
