Mrs. Hilary Clinton, US Secretary of State, arrived in Accra Thursday evening to attend the funeral of late President John Evans Atta Mills.
Mrs.Clinton, who is also a former First Lady of the US, was met at the Kotoka International Airport by Alhaji Mohammed Mumuni, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Ms. Hannah Tetteh, Minister of Trade and Industry.
Other dignitaries who arrived during the day for the late President's funeral were Hifikepunye Pohamba, President of Namibia, Mohamed Abdelaziz, President of the Saharawi Republic, President Jakaya Kikwete of Tanzania and the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo.
The rest are Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, President of Liberia, Mr Goodluck Jonathan, President of Nigeria and Kadre Quedraogo, President of the Ecowas Commission.
Late President Mills passed away on July 24th, 2012, after falling ill
A state funeral and burial would take place in Accra on Friday.
