The Accra West Regional Council and Court of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, has installed new executives for its 2012/2014 administrative year.
Worthy Brother Yaw Osei-Poku was installed the new Regional Grand Knight with Bro. Peter Wireko as his deputy while Respected Lady Victoria Ayikwei Kofie was installed the Regional Noble Lady with her deputy as Sister Afia Amoah-Duah.
The installation of the new officers constituted part of the second annual regional conference of the Accra West Region of the Knights and Ladies of Marshall, which was held under the theme “Marshallan – In search of a pure heart and steadfast spirit”.
The Supreme Knight of the Knights of Marshall, Sir Knight Derx Baffour was the installation at the Regional Council.
Speaking at a plenary session, Very Rev Fr Raymond Osei-Tutu, stressed the need for Christians to be sincere and true in their relationships if they wanted to see God.
He said Christians could not move forward in their relationships if they were not sincere and true in all they did.
The Regional Grank Knight, Worthy Bro. Yaw Osei-Poku, in his speech, appealed to Ghanaians to make sure that this year’s elections were held in a peaceful environment.
He said that could be achieved if there was unity, peace and love for one another before, during and after the elections.
He said the success of the elections would also go to immortalise late President John Evans Atta Mills, who not only preached peace, but practiced it as well.
Other members of the Regional Council executives are Thomas Owusu Asamoah, Secretary; Emmanuel Dankwa, Financial Secretary; Albert K. Salia, Communication Officer; Divine Dawlah, Auditor, Evaristus Kuatsinu, Master of Ceremonies and ICT Officer.
For the ladies, Philomena Aba Sampson is the Secretary; Grace Frimpong, Financial Secretary; Mary Foli, Auditor and Ivy Austin, Reader and Lecturer.
