President John Dramani Mahama will next week Tuesday announce his administration’s plans and focus for the remaining four months.
The announcement, which will be broadcast live by Ghana Television will outline strategies aimed at “further translating the gains of the Atta Mills-led administration into measures that will continue to impact the lives of the people.”
According to a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson, John Abdulai Jinapor, the President will make the announcement at an upcoming breakfast meeting with a cross section of the Ghanaian society including business executives, captains of industry, politicians, traditional rulers, young Ghanaians, students among others.
“This is in fulfillment of the president’s declaration when he addressed the nation on August 15, 2012 following the death and burial of our beloved President John Atta Mills”, Jinapor stated.
He also explained that President Mahama will be articulating what the focus for the next four months will be and outline clearly, policy actions aimed at completing some critical interventions. This will consolidate the gains made since 2009 under President Mills, he added.
The initiatives to be announced by the president will be based on the Better Ghana Agenda and its four thematic areas, and the key pillars of national development including fiscal and monetary policy, governance and social interventions.
Attendance will be strictly by invitation.
