A Ghanaian businessman based in Italy, Mr Maxwell Kofi Quist, on Monday donated eight bales of used clothing to flood victims in the country.
He said following appeals by the government, appeals by flood victims and after watching video clips of the floods, he was touched and decided to contribute his widow's mite.
Mr Samuel Obodai, Deputy Central Regional Minister who received the items on behalf of the victims, thanked Mr Quist for the donation.
He gave the assurance that the items would be given to the victims and appealed to others to emulate Mr Quist and donate generously towards the up-keep of the victims who have lost all their property.
