Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa Police have arrested two persons in connection with the alleged murder of Kwesi Bonko, a middle aged man from Kwafabrew near Brakwa.The suspects are Madam Efua Kwenyiwa and Mr Kwesi Sintim both from Brakwa.The police are looking for three other suspects on the run.Police Chief Inspector Gershon Awuyeh of Asikuma Police told Ghana News Agency that on September 14, the deceased attended a funeral at Brakwa and near the funeral grounds saw a puppy.He said the deceased picked it up and started playing with it but Madam Kwenyiwa, owner of the puppy on seeing the deceased with it shouted at him as a thief.Police Chief Inspector Awuyeh said some youth in the area pounced on the deceased, beat him up until he became unconscious and died.He said the corpse had been deposited at Central Regional Hospital mortuary at Cape Coast for autopsy, while the police continued with investigations.Source: GNA
