Thirteen drunken armed rampaging youth are in police custody at the Nima police station for attacking and robbing taxi drivers on Monday.The youth are reported to have barricaded some road links in Nima.They attacked people with sharp cutlass and stole their cell phones and other valuables.The over hundred rampaging youth are said to have over-powered the Nima Police Command patrol team as they fired at them but reinforcement managed to take charge of the situation.Public Relations Officer of the Greater Regional Police Command, DSP Freeman Tetteh however told Joy Fm the police are on the alert, to enforce the law to ensure there is peace and order in the country.DSP Tetteh said in as much people have the right to engage in whatever social activity, they need to be mindful of the laws.He said two of the suspects; Buju and Faisal, who have been identified as ring leaders of the rampaging youth, have been placed on police wanted list and called for public cooperation to enable the police identify those involved the criminal act.
