The Ashanti regional Police Commander has ordered thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the death of 43 year old Kwabena Nyame, who is reported to have died in the Sofoline Police station cells after allegedly been brutalized by two policemen.The deceased is said to have resisted attempts by the Police to arrest a woman at Aburaso near Kwadaso in Kumasi, whom a complaint had been lodged against by another woman.Family members of the deceased say the Police beat up Mr. Nyame and later locked him behind bars at the Police station, where he later died.Public relations officer at the Ashanti regional command ASP Mohammed Tanko tells Joynews witnesses account will be most needed to establish the truth in the matter.
