Former Hearts of Oak captain Thomas Abbey has terminated his contract with Egyptian top-flight side Ismaily after just six months.
Abbey joined Ismaily as a free agent in January but asked for the abrogation of his contract citing 'personal reasons'.
Disrupted by injury which kept him out of action for two months, the 24-year-old managed a quite underwhelming stats of a total of 26 minutes in four league appearances.
Abbey enjoyed a fantastic run in the Ghanaian top-flight in the 2016/17 season with Hearts of Oak before deciding to seek greener pastures after running down his contract. During that campaign, where he bagged 13 goals in 28 matches.
He is expected to make a return to the Ghana Premier League.
