Three senior journalists and two media consultants of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Wednesday paid an unannounced visit to the Western Regional Press Centre in Takoradi.
The group led by Mr. Bright Blewu, General Secretary, included Mrs Yaa Oforiwaa Asare-Peasah, Treasurer, Mrs Marian Kyei, member, Mr. Berifi Apenteng, media consultant and Mr. Kwesi Afriyie Badu of the KAB Governance Consult.
The group sat in at a news conference and commended the Western Regional GJA for the organisation, attendance and professional manner in which the event was hosted.
Mr. Blewu said the visit was to afford other members of his team the opportunity to see what the Western Region had done to promote the practice of journalism.
They commended the executives and members of the association in the region for their foresight and ingenuity and called on other regions to emulate the Western Regional GJA.
