The Executive Director of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), Akrasi Sarpong is determined to pursue the law to the letter to ensure that NPP firebrand Kennedy Agyapong is convicted for alleging that he has been arrested with Indian hemp.
The NACOB boss said Mr Agyapong was fond of making disparaging remarks about people, only to apologise surreptitiously to them.
Mr Sarpong in an interview with Joy News’ Sammy Darko, Monday, accused Mr Agyapong, who is also the owner of Accra-based Oman FM, of “talking recklessly”.
“This Kennedy Agyapong guy is so reckless,” he charged, “I don’t need an apology. Even if he apologizes, I have instructed my lawyers and they will deal [with him]. The matter will go to court.”
He accused Kennedy Agyapong of making similar allegation against the Board Chairman of the Narcotics Control Board, Naval Capt. (rtd) Yaw Asaase Gyimah, “only for him to turn round and go back and do a settlement on the quiet”.
The NACOB boss minced no words in stating that Mr Agyapong cannot match him when it comes to integrity.
“When it comes to integrity, Kennedy Agyapong is nowhere near my integrity.”
