Mr Mathew Borgor, Assemblyman for Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South District, has commended Muslims in the district for their peaceful co-existence that had promoted speedy development in the area.
He said development could not be achieved without peace and security as well as harmony among the various ethnic and religious groups and that the peaceful environment among the Muslim communities was very appreciable.
Mr Borgor was addressing Muslims at Mankranso and its environs after joining them in their prayers to mark the Eid-ul-Fitr on Saturday.
He appealed to them to maintain their peaceful posture for the smooth completion of all development projects initiated by the government and the district assembly.
Mr Borgor advised them to take advantage of the capitation grant and send their children to school and also register with the national health insurance scheme.
Mallam Abdulai Fuseini, Mankranso Chief Imam, appealed for building materials to complete a school project they had initiated and the consideration of qualified Muslim youth in the National Youth Employment Programme by authorities in the district.
