Alhaji Yusif Ibrahim, a Ghanaian business man and entrepreneur, was today awarded an honorary doctor of Public Service Degree by The Westfield State University in the United States of America in recognition of his contributions and achievements as a global entrepreneur, humanitarian and philanthropist.
The selection of Alhaji Ibrahim Executive Chairman of Dara Salam Group by the University for the award, is consistent with it history of West Field State University as the first co educational public institution without barrier to gender race religion or economic class that continues to recognise innovation which emphasizes community service and experiential learning
Alhaji Ibrahim’s award was the result of his successes as a business man, his contributions as a member of international business committees and his charitable work among needy communities in the area of health and education.
In July 2007 Alhaji was honoured with the Companion of the Star of the Volta, the highest award of the land, by the President and people of Ghana in recognition of his contribution to national development
Alhaji Yusif Ibrahim was grateful to the Westfield University for the award which he dedicated to his wife Rabi Ibrahim and his parents who he said were poor and uneducated but invested the little they had in his education.
“I am also extremely grateful that out of the millions of people in Ghana and the billions in the world, Westfield University identified me and gave me this award.
