Rebecca Akuffo Addo, wife of New Patriotic Party flag-bearer has consoled victims of the Mallam market fire outbreak. She promised Nana Akuffo Addo would later visit the market to offer them some support to set them up again.
For once, victims of the Mallam market fire outbreak shelved their sorrow and joyously followed Rebecca Akufo-Addo and Samira Bawumia who were there to console victims. They walked through the market to assess the level of wreckage and interacted with the market women who were chanting and singing songs.
The chants and the songs showed how attached market women are to politics. Rebecca Akufo-Addo then addressed the crowd and promised her husband would modernize the market if the NPP comes back to power.
