The disputed chief of Wa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo has been sworn-in and gazzeted peacefully.
The swearing-in took place Thursday amidst heavy security presence at the Center for National Culture in Wa, venue for the ceremony.
Early signals suggested the swearing in could be bloody following protests by rival chiefs but Joy News’ correspondent Rafiq Salam who was present at the swearing-in reported that the ceremony was peaceful.
Naa Fuseini Pelpuo was therefore made to take two oaths: first as a member of the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, and a member of the Judicial Council.
