President John Dramani Mahama has expressed condolences on behalf of the Ghanaian people for the loss of life in the US following the shooting of 26 people, including school children and six adults, by a gunman.The tragedy happened on Friday, December 14 at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Newtown, Connecticut.A statement issued by President Mahama and copied to Ghana News Agency on Tuesday said: “While we in Ghana join our American friends in mourning the loss of such young and innocent lives, I wish to convey, on behalf of the people and government of Ghana and in my name, our heartfelt sympathies and condolences to your Excellency, the government and the people of the United States of America.”“May providence grant the bereaved families the strength and fortitude to overcome this moment of grief.”
