Conditions at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital continue to deteriorate despite all the attention being drawn to the hospital by mental health advocates and professionals.
Joy News reports that hundreds of patients are squeezed into two wards meant for a few dozens, forcing many patients to sleep on the bare concrete floors by the open sewers of the hospital.
The report indicates that water is unavailable at the hospital and the overcrowding has led to skin infections among patients.
