The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of the United Denominations of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has highlighted that IMPACT is not just another Christian gathering, but one designed to leave a lasting impression on attendees.
Speaking at the media launch of IMPACT 2025 on November 17, key keynote speaker Archbishop Duncan-Williams emphasised what makes the annual convention a must-attend event.
“We create an atmosphere to give people an experience, a wow experience, one that stays with you until the next IMPACT, and keeps you looking forward to it,” he said.
He similarly recounted the rationale behind the convention, as well as its mission to transform lives, especially among young people.
“Most of the young ones in those days were in disco houses and nightclubs, just like I used to do before I had an encounter with Jesus. So, when I got born again, I felt I had a moral and spiritual responsibility to tell my story,” he added.
The Presiding Archbishop further emphasised the importance of living a life that makes a difference in others.
“The essence of living is to be a blessing to others, to make an impact or a difference in somebody’s life. The greatest person in one's life is the one who discovered you on your journey before you discovered yourself,” he explained.
Archbishop Duncan-Williams also highlighted the core purpose of the convention, describing it as a truly transformational gathering.
“And that is what IMPACT is all about. We bring different speakers who have had an encounter with God from across nations—people who have something meaningful to say, a story to tell, a message to preach—that helps you discover who you are and what is inside of you that you may not even be aware of,” he said.
This year’s IMPACT 2025 is themed “Let There Be a Performance” (Luke 1:45). The event also marks 45 years of impactful gatherings that have drawn participants from across the world. The August convention will feature Apostle Joshua Selman, Rev. Eastwood Anaba, and other prominent speakers from across Africa.
