The Northern Youth for Peace & Development (NYUPED), has presented an award to Mr. Stephen Kyerematen, Chief Executive Officer of Activa International Insurance Company for his tremendous achievements and contributions to the insurance needs of Ghana and the West African Sub-Region.
In a citation accompanying the award, NYUPED stated that, “This decision was carefully reached by the Governing Council on the strength of your tremendous achievements and contributions to the insurance needs of Ghana and the West Africa Sub-Region as a whole”.
The Northern Youth stressed that Mr. Stephen Kyerematen’s insight on the issues of Insurance and Re-insurance as a necessary business with strong and viable economic value has positively and profitably impacted on the socio-economic enterprise of the national economy to the benefit of corporate institutions both home and abroad.
“Significant too, was your Diplomatic stint as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Malaysia with accreditation to Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar and Brunei Darussalem, which inured to the benefit of Ghana in various ways”, the citation continued.
The message concluded that Mr. Kyerematen’s philanthropic nature, his benevolent spirit as well as his readiness to support a worthy cause makes him a role model to many vulnerable, marginalized and underprivileged youth, especially, helpless young girls and women in Northern Ghana.
“Your story needs to be told to spur these ones to take their destinies into their own hands. Your Humanitarian and Philanthropic Gesture have come up for notice. You are a Gem that sheds its light into the darkness and you deserve all the honour and commendation”, the citation read.
