12 year old Andrew Adansi Bonnah will leave Accra Thursday to attend the Africa Peace Award Ceremony to be held at the Durban International Convention Centre, in Durban South Africa.
The South Africa based African Centre for Constructive Resolution of Dispute (ACCORD), has invited Africa’s young diplomat, Ambassador Andrew to address the ceremony where Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama will receive the Africa Peace Award for 2012 that will be conferred on Ghana.
Ambassador Andrew, who is currently the Goodwill Ambassador for Girl Child Soldier Eradication in Africa and African Union Child Representative to the Somali famine and the Horn of Africa, is expected to deliver a speech at the ceremony on Saturday 13th October 2012.
His Technical Advising Director Mawuli Kobla Asamani said Andrew’s speech will highlight on children and the future of Africa, the role of children in achieving Africa’s developmental goals.
Chairing the event is former President Nelson Mandela’s Wife, Graça Machel and Chair of Accord Board.
The Special Guest of Honor is his Excellency Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa. Several African Heads of State are expected to attend the event.
