The Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) Plc, Alhassan Yakubu-Tali, has announced a strategic collaboration with the Ghana-Nebraska Agribusiness Growth and Trade Relations Chamber (GNEBCham).
This partnership is to foster sustainable growth within the Agribusiness Sector in Ghana.
The announcement was made during a courtesy call on the Managing Director by Executive Directors (Senator Kenneth Schilz and Madam Alberta N. A. Akosa) of the Chamber to discuss prospects of enhancing trade and agribusiness relations between Nebraska and Ghana.
Alhaji Yakubu-Tali indicated that the collaboration with the chamber would reiterate ADB’s commitment to empowering agribusinesses with the resources they need to thrive.
He added that "by combining our financial expertise with the Chamber's international network and knowledge, we are poised to drive significant growth and wealth creation through agriculture."
He stated that Nebraska was noted for its advancement in agricultural technology; thus, leveraging this partnership will enhance access to international markets, finance, technology, and other expertise to promote agribusinesses.

“ADB is renowned for its financial services to the agricultural sector, together with Nebraska’s agricultural technology, this partnership will play a pivotal role in advancing Ghana’s agribusiness,” he stated.
Alhaji Yakubu-Tali stated that as a bank with sustainability at the core of its operations, ADB and the Chamber will work together to advocate for sustainable farming methods to mitigate any environmental impact of agricultural activities and ensure long-term viability for the sector.
On his part, the Co-Director, former Nebraska State Senator and Chair of the Legislature’s Agriculture Committee of Nebraska, Senator Kenneth Schilz, elaborated that technology, banking, and finance are among its interests, and the primary objective of the visit was to strengthen partnerships, foster shared opportunities, and advancement between Ghana and Nebraska.
He stated that the initiative to connect Ghana to Nebraska started quite recently and generated massive interest within the two countries.
This culminated in the visit to Nebraska by the agribusiness community of Ghana last year (2023) to learn, network, and expand business partnership opportunities.
Senator Kenneth Schilz commended the Managing Director, Alhassan Yakubu-Tali and his Management team for the partnership, and expressed optimism that Ghana and the state of Nebraska will continue to benefit immensely from the trade and agribusiness relations.
