Head of the Ghana Football Association Technical Directorate Oti Akenteng wants the Black Stars to be careful ahead of the AFCON 2015 qualifiers.
Ghana has been handed a tricky draw for next year’s AFCON qualifiers as they will face neighbours Togo and Guinea and a fourth team that will be determined after the second round qualifiers.
The top two teams in each group will secure automatic places at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco while the best third placed team in the entire qualifying campaign will also gain a place.
Head of the Ghana football Association technical directorate Oti Akenteng says Ghana must be cautious in dealing with these teams but is sure of Ghana’s qualification.
“Now there is no minnow in African football, no minnow at all and being neighbours especially Togo and Ghana I believe it won’t be easy at all,” he told Joy sports
“They believe they also have to be part so is not going to be easy for us but we will by then be back from the World Cup and I hope we will do well at the World Cup so it will just be a carry over.”
