Teshie United got a back-to-back victory over Golden Eagles after forcing them to a 5-1 win on saturday.
The reverse fixture ended 4-2 for the Teshie lads; they currently seat 3 points behind league leaders African Angels.
High scoring Nungua BSC secured 3-0 victory over struggling Nima Beach Soccer Club. Two goals from Ebenezer Laryea and one from top striker Harold Affotey condemned Nima to their second defeat in the hands of Nungua. The latter had defeated Nima 6-2 with Harold Affotey grabbing 4 goals in that encounter.
Three other fixtures in the league were decided by walkovers as Jamestown Octopus, Global Supporters Union and Black Sea Lions all failed to turn up for their matches against Gulf Powers, Chorkor Blue Whales and African Angels respectively.
On Thursday, officials of the Ghana Beach Soccer Association (GBSA) and Primus Africa (Clementia Contacto) Limited unveiled a huge sponsorship package for the Beach Soccer Division 1 worth approximately GH C 35,000.00.
Clementia Contacto secured the second round of the Division 1 League only with an amount of GHc 27,000 among other goodies, set to run from December 2011 to March 2012.
The 2012/13 season is set to receive a new deal that would run for 3 years.
