Striker Junior Agogo has tipped Ghana to scale over the Nigeria hurdle in the crucial semi-final duel of the ongoing Nations Cup tournament.
Agogo scored the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over the Super Eagles in the quarter final stage of the 2008 Nations cup held here in Ghana, and the bulky striker believes the Stars can replicate the same results on Thursday.
He told Joy News he is surprised with the performance of the Stars given the injury situation which kept most of experienced players out of contention.
“They are capable of winning the tournament,” he said advising that the team must be focused and be confident.
Thursday’s clash will be the third time both teams are competing in three years with the Stars winning two, including an embarrassing 4-1 thrashing in an International friendly in 2007.
