Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu is confident the Black Stars can cope in the absence of captain and leading striker Asamoah Gyan.
Ghana are set to play Mauritius in the penultimate African Cup Qualifier on Sunday with Gyan missing yet again.
Ebenezer Assifuah, Jordan Ayew and debutant Patrick Twumasi have been called up in the striking department and Badu is confident these men can do the job.
“Asamoah Gyan is a great striker, wonderful striker as well but we have quality strikers in camp as well who can do the work Asamoah will do,” Badu told reporters after training
“We will miss him a lot but trust the strikers we have, we are going to make him happy, proud and win the game for the nation.”
Ghana need a point to confirm qualification for the tournament in Gabon.
