Udinese and Ghana international midfielder Agyemang Badu is considering setting up a foundation in his native town Tain, in the Brong Ahafo Region in 2013.
He told Joy Sports he intends to put smiles on the faces of his people by providing them with good drinking water from boreholes, the first of many initiatives lined up by his foundation.
The Udinese midfielder who was a guest on Joy Sports ‘FOOTBALL SHOW’ on Multi TV last Monday said “when you go to most of the villages in Tain, they don’t have water so I am planning something like that.”
The yet-to-be-born EAB Foundation will then spread its tentacles to all the regions of Ghana.
Agyemang Badu, a member of the U-20 world cup winning team in Egypt 2009 is taking a cue from Togo international Sheyi Emmanuel Adebayor who is touring the length and breadth of Africa restoring hope in less privileged individuals and communities.
“I think Adebayor has been a blessing to mother Ghana, he is helping us a lot. He is Togolese but he lives in Ghana. He is helping a lot of children so we will have to pray for him to have an injury-free season so he continues with his good work.”
