The Head and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership qualities of Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the Minister in Accra on Wednesday, he described Mr Iddrisu’s leadership approach as one with the potential for greater national impact.
The respected Islamic cleric highlighted what he called a rare mix of humility, accessibility and commitment in the Minister’s public service.
He noted that Mr Iddrisu’s natural connection with citizens continues to deepen public trust, stressing that such engagement is a hallmark of effective leadership.

“His engagement with the ordinary Ghanaian reflects a leadership style that resonates with the people and strengthens confidence in his role,” he said.
Maulvi Bin Salih further described Haruna Iddrisu as part of a new generation of “energetic and patriotic” leaders capable of blending experience with youthful innovation in governance.
The visit by a delegation of the Mission, led by Maulvi Bin Salih, was to commiserate with the Minister following a recent accident he suffered while travelling to Wa in the Upper West Region on official duty.

Mr Iddrisu had been invited by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission as a special guest at the graduation ceremony of the Nusra Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education in Wa.
Recounting the incident, the Missionary-in-Charge said the Minister’s commitment to duty had drawn public admiration.
“The Minister of Education has demonstrated a spirit of sacrifice that is truly inspiring,” he noted. “To continue his duties after such a traumatic experience speaks volumes about his character and dedication to Ghana.”
Sign of higher leadership potential
According to Maulvi Bin Salih, the Minister’s consistent dedication to national service points to his readiness for higher responsibility.
“I am convinced that this young man has a lot to offer Ghana,” he said. “In the years ahead, the impact of this commitment will become evident.”

He urged Ghanaian youth to draw inspiration from the Minister’s discipline, resilience and sense of duty, encouraging them to invest in personal growth and contribute meaningfully to national development.
Expressing gratitude to Allah for the Minister’s safety, the Ahmadiyya leader described his survival and continued service as a blessing to both the education sector and the country.
He expressed optimism that the Minister’s dedication would translate into measurable progress in Ghana’s education system.
Responding, Mr Iddrisu thanked God for his life and the safety of his convoy, and expressed appreciation to the Mission’s leadership for the visit.
He also thanked all who showed support during the difficult period and prayed for God’s blessings for them.
The Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to expanding infrastructure to ensure access for communities across the country.
