President Akufo-Addo will address the nation Saturday evening on measures being taken to fight the novel coronavirus.
He is, however, not going to announce a lockdown, Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said, adding “do not panic.”

The address follows a meeting with the Covid-19 response committee.
Mr. Oppong Nkrumah added: “Case management reports show that the active cases are responding very well to treatment awaiting final cure tests. Our frontline response workers at hospitals and ports are doing well so far.”
Meanwhile, 19 cases of the dreaded pandemic have been recorded in Ghana as of midday March 21.
All 19 cases are based in the Greater Accra Region and the Ashanti Region.
Parliament has, in the meantime, passed an Imposition of Restrictions Act which the government says would help in the fight against the Covid-19.
The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is, however, critical of the law as they fear the government will use it for political gain.
