Flagbearer hopeful for the 2016 elections on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party, Alan Kwadwo Kyeramateng has congratulated his arch-rival, Nana Akufo-Addo on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
The two-time presidential candidate of the main opposition party turned 70 Saturday. Nana Akufo-Addo was born on March 29, 1944.
He led the NPP into the 2008 and 2012 general elections as Flagbearer but lost on both occasions to late president John Atta Mills and incumbent John Dramani Mahama respectively.
As Nana Addo celebrates his 70th birthday, the man whom he beat twice- 2007 and 2010- to secure the flagbearer title, "Alan Cash" as Mr. Kyeremateng is popularly called, sent a message exclusively to Myjoyonline.com to wish him well.
The two heavy wieghts in the NPP are expected to clash for the third successive time, when nominations are opened sometime this year for the flagbearership contest.
