As the Afrafranto Caravan Tour moves through the Bono East Region, Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change is reshaping political dynamics and winning the support of communities eager for a new direction.
In a significant show of commitment, the National Director for Special Duties of the Movement for Change, Hopeson Adorye, presented a motorbike to the Tuabodom Traditional Council on behalf of Alan Kyerematen, meeting a crucial need that had gone unmet by other political parties.
Welcoming the Movement for Change delegation, which included Hopeson Adorye, Directors of Special Duties Alhaji Haruna, Senior Advisor and Kwabena Amoako Frimpong, known as POPA, the Regional Anchor, at the Tuabodom Traditional Council Palace, Nana Appiah Odumgya Aboagye II, the Adontenhene and acting Paramount Chief, expressed his gratitude.
He revealed that the Council had long grappled with transportation issues, hindering effective communication and service to the community. Repeated requests for assistance had been made to other political parties, including the NPP and NDC, but these pleas had gone unheeded.
The prompt response from Alan Kyerematen’s Movement for Change took the chiefs by surprise.
“For years, our needs have been overlooked, even after appeals to the major political parties. But today, Alan Kyerematen and his team have shown us that real leadership means listening to the people,” Nana Appiah Odumgya Aboagye II said, praising Mr Kyerematen’s respect for traditional authorities and their role in the region.
Hopeson Adorye, fulfilling the Council’s request without delay, assured Nananom that the Movement for Change was fully committed to supporting the people of Bono East.
The motorbike was promptly presented to the Tuabodom Traditional Council, reflecting the Movement’s focus on concrete action rather than empty promises.
Mr Adorye emphasised that the Afrafranto Caravan Tour aims not only to gain votes but also to exemplify what responsive and accountable leadership should look like.
Receiving the motorbike, Nana Appiah Odumgya Aboagye II thanked Alan Kyerematen for the generous gesture and offered his blessings for Mr Kyerematen’s success in the upcoming elections.
He expressed the Council’s confidence in Mr Kyerematen, noting that a leader who listens and acts swiftly on even the smallest of requests is truly deserving of the nation’s trust.
“We pray that the desires of Alan Kyerematen’s heart come to pass, as he has proven to be a friend of the people,” the chief added.
As the Afrafranto Caravan Tour continues, Mr Kyerematen’s message is resonating powerfully across the Bono East Region.
Inspired by his dedication to addressing their needs, many residents are signaling a “skirt and blouse” voting pattern - supporting Alan Kyerematen and the Movement for Change at the presidential level, while possibly choosing other candidates for parliamentary seats.
This sentiment points to a growing belief in the Movement as a real alternative, capable of breaking the traditional political mold.
Mr Adorye added that the motorbike donation represents more than just transportation; it embodies Alan Kyerematen’s Great Transformational Plan, which values inclusivity and deep respect for traditional institutions.
