The Central Regional Chairman of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated he will lead a delegation to the Denkyira Traditional Council to plead on behalf of two of its members.
Bernard Allotey Jacob said the outburst of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Upper Denkyira East and the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Upper Denkyira West in which they tainted the image of the Queen Mother of the land was uncalled for.
“We have decided to approach the queen mother’s divisional chiefs to talk them out of the issue,’ he said.
The Denkyira Traditional Council in the Central Region invoked its great oath on the MCE of Upper Denkyira East, Emelia Ankomah and the DCE of Upper Denkyira West, Ambrose Ashia for attacking the Queen mother of Denkyira, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III over her comments during the visit of flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Speaking to the NPP leader, Nana Ama Ayensua Saara III lamented the low attention her community has received from the government because she has been branded an NPP.
This was enough to court the displeasure of the two government appointees who rained invectives on the Queen mother for involving herself in politics.
Reacting to the issue on Joynews, Mr Allotey-Jacobs said even though the behavior of the Queen mother was uncalled for, the two MCEs were not supposed to have done what they did.
According to him, the NDC government is doing a lot in the Central Region, noting what the Queen Mother said about neglect was not true.
The government is ready to fix all the deplorable roads in the Region, he said adding they are looking for “competent contractor” to execute the contract.
