Andre Ayew featured for Marseille as the French champions lifted the Super Cup - Trophee des Champions - on Wednesday by beating Paris St Germain 5-4 on penalties.
With junior brother Jordan suspended for the game, Andre was handed a starting place by Didier Deschamps before being taken off with four minutes to end normal time in the match which finished goalless after normal time and was then tied at 4-4 after the first five penalties were taken.
Edouard Cisse struck for Marseille, and they won on sudden death when Ludovic Giuly could not convert for the Parisians.
It was Andre's first trophy for the season since returning to Marseille from loan.
The curtain-raiser match was played in Rades, Tunisia ahead of the start of the Ligue 1 season which begins on August 7.
