The Bishop of the Koforidua Diocese of the Anglican Church, Right Reverend Francis Benjamin Quashie, has called for the cultivation of trust among the leading political parties to facilitate national development.
He explained that no individual or group of people could claim monopoly of knowledge, therefore society stood to benefit if the citizenry would restrict themselves to doing their best for the country.
Bishop Quashie was preaching in Koforidua, at the weekend, during the induction of members of the 17 Diocesan Boards and Committees elected at the last synod of the church in August.
The members of the Diocesan Boards and Committees are expected to support the bishop in the administration of the diocese and would hold office for three years and subject to re-election on completion of their term.
Some of the committees and boards include, Board of Finance, Education, Church Organisation, Estate Committee, Projects Committee, Diocesan Economic Committee, Clergy Pension Fund Committee and the Diocesan Health Status Technical Committee.
The Bishop advised those inducted into office to rededicate themselves to the work of God so that by the end of their term of office, "they will have good news" for the church.
