The armed land guards who clashed with residents of Gambaga have sent out a death threat from the police cell where they are being held following their arrest last week.
In a video recorded from inside the Gambaga cell, the suspects led by the private developer insisted on his ownership of the disputed land.
They threatened to "kill" and meet with "fire" anyone attempting to take it from him.
They were said to have smuggled the mobile phone into the police cell and recorded the threat after their return from Court in Tamale on Saturday.
There are calls to investigate police officers who were on duty on the day of the video recording.
Meanwhile, the regional minister has denied the government is supporting the private developer in the dispute against the community.
Speaking before the overlord of Mamprugu, Naa Abdulai Bohagu, and the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Mr Yidana said those arrested would face the full rigours of the law if found guilty to serve as deterrence.
