Berekum Arsenal traveled to the capital, Accra knowing victory would have hand them a real boost as they plot their way out of the relegation zone.
however, the Gunners were undone on Saturday as they lost 2-0 to Mighty Jets at the Accra Sports Stadium in the final fixture of the first round of the Glo Premier League.
A goal apiece in either half of proceedings gave Jets all three points. Taminu Muntari put the home side in front when he scored from the spot after 31 minutes.
Arsenal, who couldn't keep pace with the Jets picked three bookings before the break and back from recess, Abubakar Sidi out the game beyond them when he scored the second goal to wrap up an impressive performance for Foster Alhassan's side.
Despite the win, Jets are still fourth from the bottom with Arsenal placed second from bottom.
Arsenal have now conceded 22 goals and share the same goal difference, 11, bottom side, Wassaman though they are two points better than the last placed club.
