Mr Moses Asaga, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Nabdam Constituency in the Upper East Region, has retained his seat.
He polled 5,369 votes representing 47.81 per cent of the valid votes cast to beat his closest rival Boniface A. Agambila of New Patriotic Party (NPP), who had 5,097 votes representing 45.39 per cent, the Upper East Regional Electoral Commission announced in Bolgatanga on Monday.
Mr Somtim Tobiga of People's National Convention (PNC) obtained 715 votes representing 6.37 per cent while Mr Tampugre Ayenyeta William of Convention People's Party (CPP) polled 49 votes representing 0.44 per cent of the valid votes cast.
