The Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Mahama Ayariga has donated footballs and jerseys to his constituents.
The initiative is to harness the untapped potential of the youth and foster unity and development in the Bawku Central constituency.
The MP, who is passionate about football has laid the groundwork for an anticipated football tournament that promises to be a game-changer for the community.

The constituency chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Bawku Central, Ndego Mohammed Awindago, acting on behalf of the MP, recently presented the footballs and jerseys to the enthusiastic youth.
During the presentation, he called on residents to view this initiative as more than just a football tournament but as a platform for social rejuvenation and unity, emphasizing the crucial role it plays in fostering peace and development in Bawku.
Mr Ayariga, known for his keen interest in football, has set his sights on elevating the standard of the sport within the Bawku Central constituency.

To realise this vision, he is currently overseeing the construction of a state-of-the-art football pitch, complete with various sporting facilities and accommodation for the aspiring team players who will represent Bawku Central.
Recognising the significance of safety and security, the tournament has been strategically divided into three clusters – A, B, and C – to ensure a smooth and secure execution. This approach not only guarantees the safety of participants and spectators but also maximizes community engagement.
The MP believes football has the power to transcend boundaries and bring communities together. Through this tournament, he aims to provide a platform for the youth to showcase their talents, foster a sense of unity, and contribute to the overall development of Bawku Central.

The ambitious project has already stirred excitement within the constituency, with the promise of uncovering hidden talents and providing a stage for aspiring football stars.
