The Director of Elections and IT for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Omane Boamah, is confident former President, John Mahama will win the 2024 general elections against Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
Dr. Boamah argues that Dr. Bawumia's performance as the Head of the Economic Management Team (EMT) falls short of Mr. Mahama's.
In a Facebook post on Monday, November 6, he emphasized that Dr. Bawumia doesn't measure up to the former President in any assessment.
Dr. Boamah, a medical doctor and politician, concluded by highlighting Mr Mahama's "undeniable" track record.
"Let me add that the uploaded infographic shows the difference between the superior competence of NDC under Mahama's Presidency and the gross incompetence of the so-called 'Solid [NPP] Economic Management Team' led by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia under Akufo-Addo."
"John Dramani Mahama has an impeccable track record as Vice President and Head of Ghana's Economic Management Team (EMT)."
The Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was on Saturday, November 4 elected to lead the NPP after a keenly contested presidential primary.
In his victory speech, he called on his fellow contenders and party members to join forces to work together to achieve the NPP's ambition of ‘breaking the 8.’
