CAF Confederation finalist, TP Mazembe have confirmed the death of the mother of Black Stars midfielder Solomon Asante and has allowed the player to join his family in Ghana.
According to a close family source, the former Berekum Chelsea midfielder was given the greenlight to join the family to mourn the mum (Monica Dankwaa) immediately after his club side lost to CS faxien on 2-3 aggregate in the final CAF Confederation game.
The sad event occured last Thursday after a short illness at his residence at Sefwi Wiaso in the Western Region.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
