A story on social media space, Twitter, has led Ghanaians to once again question the quality of health care delivery in the country.

It is alleged that in health facilities in Ga South and Weija Gbawe Municipality, there are no anti-rabies vaccine.

A tweep with username @pastor_mensah on Friday, April 29, revealed that his son had been bitten by a "strange dog."

He recounted after the incident, he visited all government health facilities in the Ga South and Weija Gbawe Municipality to have his "little boy" get an anti-rabies shot.

However, none of the facilities was able to treat his son because they did not have the vaccine.

He therefore called on President Akufo-Addo and Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah to intervene.

Some users who chanced upon his post advised him to seek assistance from nearby pharmacies.

"If you are within this catchment then I suggest you head toward Kasoa Polyclinic. I’m pretty sure they have the anti-rabies injection at a few close to GHC500 for all the needed doses," a user wrote.

Another user recounted a similar experience.

"Had similar encounter last year I was bitten by a dog and had to move from Abuakwa to Bantama for just anti-rabies shots didn’t get some @Abuakwa, Tanoso, Kwadaso, Sofoline, until I got to Bantama imagine if it was a serious case like by now a die long time."

Further engagement with @pastor_mensah this afternoon reveals that the young boy bitten on the ear has still not received an anti-rabies shot.

"He couldn't sleep throughout the night. I am yet to get the vaccine for my little boy," @pastor_mensah told MyJoyOnline.com.

"The bite from the dog this morning is becoming some way," he added.
