John Boye knows Ghana need to be at their best over the weekend as they face Sudan in a crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier. The Black Stars, second on the table and three points behind the top play the Nile Crocodiles on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi in a Group D match as the Round II qualifiers reaches the halfway stage. After two consecutive World Cup appearances in 2006 and 2010, Boye is among a band of new faces pushing for their tournament. “Every player wants to play in the World Cup and this is the World Cup qualifier. “It’s very important for me and very important for each player,” Boye said as the Black Stars got their preparations underway for the game on Sunday. The central defender says that a win will be important for everyone, especially their fans. “We have to win so that the fans who were down because of the Afcon [Africa Cup of Nations] can boost their morale. “I think it’s a very important game for us,” the Rennes defender added.
