Breast Care International, a non-governmental organization championing breast cancer awareness in Ghana, has entered into a partnership with the Linda Loma University in California, USA to enhance healthcare delivery in the country.
The agreement seeks to establish and develop a collaboration between the two institutions to promote public health practice and research through capacity building programmes.
A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by the President of Breast care International, Dr. Beatrice Wiafe Addae and Dr. Richard Hart, President of Linda Loma University in the USA.
Under the agreement, Linda Loma University will provide technical assistance to Breast Care international for collaborative grant funding opportunities.
The two organizations are also expected to collaborate in ongoing practice-based research projects in efforts to secure funding for initiatives and programmes.
The MOU does not impose financial obligations on LLU and BCI.
The partnership will run for three years and is subject to renewal.
Each party can however abrogate the agreement in writing.
