For years, residents and road users of Bohyen-Aprepo have gone through hell having to ply the route due to a collapsed bridge linking two communities.
The structure had become a death trap, posing danger to life and property. The end, however, appears in sight as rehabilitation work is set to begin.

Deep gully created by erosion around the bridge and in the middle of the road, makes it almost impassable.
Road users complain that first-time users are most at risk of the deplorable state of the bridge.
A resident, Dr. Amoah Danquah told Nhyira FM that commencement of reconstruction, therefore, comes as exciting news.
“The drainage was coming into the road and it was virtually destroying it. We are very happy that they are constructing the bridge for us so that it will ease traffic and congestion.
"A lot of people use this road; those going to Bremang and Offinso pass here as access road because of congestion at Suame Roundabout, so if this road becomes a problem, we will have difficulty, ” he bemoaned.

Member of Parliament for Bantama, Isacc Okyem-Aboagye led a team to a ceremony to begin work.
“Bantama constituency is not just from Komfo Anokye to Abrepo Junction. It goes beyond that. We have Mpatasie, Ohwim, Amanfrom, and Kokoso. All roads leading to these towns are not tarred. About 12.8-kilometer road in this constituency cannot be used.” Mr. Okyem-Aboagye emphaized.
According to him, residents who use the stretch have suffered due to the deplorable nature of roads in the area.
“The dust from these bad roads is causing health problems to residents; we want the government to rectify the imbalance that has been done to Ashanti Region in terms of roads so together we can develop the nation.”
